On the Shortage of Food in Gaza

21Mar06

So, again, tell me why you HAVE to go into Israel to get your flour? Why are you so dependent on Israel for goods and supplies? Why isn’t your government encouraging investment and foreign trade instead of being the country receiving the highest amount of foreign aid in the world?

Investment and foreign trade? hahahaha you’ve made my day! I’m literally cracking up.

We’re talking about occupied territories that can not even trade between each other unless Israel allows it. Heck, even inside the same city you wake up to find a wall cutting your school in two and people can not reach to their jobs inside their own country! and you say foreign trade? let them reach their jobs, stop the curfews, remove your illegal checkpoints (see, I didn’t even have to add “illegal” but hey, you thought we had a free country out there!), stay away from their land and stick to your cursed “state”. After that we’ll see about foreign trade and investment. My God, investment and occupied territories in one sentence, funny stuff!
