This AD humiliates and degrades both dark skinned people and women in general, however, if we want to point out the flaws in these commercials we must underdstand that nowadays, all commercials are degrading women all over the world. Today's Ads subjectify women and insult their intelligence !. We cannot relate to this product in criticism while ignoring the tanning products that also insinuate that white skin is not attractive ! It had been my personal view too that these cosmetic and even other ads always market for fair skin.... Not just the product, how many ads have actors who are dark or brown skinned? I hardly see any. Even the kids acting in the ad will be chosen a fair skin one. It's purely a White mentality who decides what's beautiful and what's not as you rightly said.
