My Favorite Blogger

27Oct07

Rebellious Arab Girl has started a new universal blogging activity: “Blog about your favorite blogger” day. And she chose the 27th of October to be that day. I’m just glad I didn’t miss it.
My favorite blogger for this year is Jordanian blogger Lina Ejeilat. She’s real, keeps us in the loop when it comes to [...]

Don’t call me hijabi

25Oct07

Can’t speak for all the veiled ladies out there but I sure can and will speak for myself.
There’s something about how this relatively new term is used, and by whom. It’s interesting, I must say, when a Muslim or Arab refers to veiled women as Hijabi, and the good looking “Hijabi” as Hijabi chicks!!. Especially [...]

Officials say the green [...]

Special Offer: 5 murders for 10 years in jail ONLY!!

05Oct07

When I read something like this:
AMMAN - The Criminal Court has sentenced a 27-year-old man to 10 years in prison after convicting him of murdering four of his sisters in Salt last year.
The tribunal decided to amend the premeditated murder charges originally levelled against the defendant, because “it was clear… that the murders occurred following [...]

Creepy
Some people are very active online but they creepily refuse to do anything similar offline. For example, they’d talk to you, they’d even get very personal with you but for a weird reason, they don’t want to meet you or anyone they know online. I bet all of us know at least one person who’s [...]
