Can love make of us “worse” people? Does being in love justify doing wrong, harming those around us or let go of our principles and beliefs?
I sometimes ask myself which should come first, principles or love? I’m still undecided on what does love mean but I believe that love is a means not an end, and if love does us good at all it should be that it takes us to a higher level of humanity, makes us believe in the unbelievable and fight for the good. It makes from us better people, that is if love does anything at all.
Remember Troy? Remember what Priam (paris and hector’s father)said?
“I’ve fought many wars in my time. Some I’ve fought for land, some for power, some for glory. I suppose fighting for love makes more sense than all the rest.”
is love greedy? is it really justifiable to fight for love in all ways possible-regardless of how ethical they are-? does the end justify the means?
And Helen, how come she loved a coward like Paris who’s greedy and selfish?
I wonder if love should convey anything other than peace…and love, I wonder if love will remain pure and sacred after a battle in the name of love.
Is there is more than one type of love?
Love is not to fight, Its to fight back.
