Reality TV Hits a New Low

01Jun07

In a new reality show, a woman who’s going to die very soon will have to decide who will receive her kidney when she dies. Three contestants will compete over her kidney fighting for their lives, literally!

  • A dying woman has to decide who will live and who will die
  • Three people will fight to live but two of them will be defeated
  • Everything is shown on TV

How uglier can it get?

Even if Netherlands has one of the lowest donor rates in Europe, that does not justify the unethical representation of the problem.

Reality TV started so low, I didn’t think it could sink to these depths.

That remind me of Stephen kinds story , the Running Man, same thing , people play with others life as a part of a TV reality program

At first I thought the idea was totally uncalled for, but after realizing it was a hoax and looking at all the controversy it has generated, I think the stunt did achieve its objective of raising global awareness
