Laundry Time!

11Sep07

Yesterday at around 8:30 at Books@Cafe - Jabal Amman it was laundry time!

I absolutely loved the idea of unfolding our secrets on an actual laundry rope. It was really cool to be part of it. Maybe part of it’s beauty is the fact that you could post whatever you want anonymously, and hang it for people to see and think about. It was fun going through other people’s scribblings as well.

And they had colored pens too. You could imagine my joy being left with colored pens and lots of papers.

I hope the guys behind 7abilghaseel will continue to have these public self-expression “parties”, I’m not sure I can call them parties but I certainly enjoyed the live music.

Don’t be sad if you missed it; you can always send your creative thoughts, secrets and kharabeesh to [email protected]. Not sure if everything will go on the Website, but I think the concept is cool enough to try.

You can buy the book from Books@Cafe as mentioned on the Website.

By the way, the idea is similar to the very famous PostSecret project (the Website has become one of my favorites).
