Is Hamzeh the only one?

25Jan06

Hamzeh has a problem, guess what is it? He has lots of free time! Yup you heard that right lots of freeee time.

Is he the only lazy, care-free person around here? cause I want to batch-envy you! (yea like in Wordpress plugins which allow you to batch edit comments, it’s getting to me)

I have absolutely no free time (no the 5 hours I spend online after coming back from work are not free time ok?) and while I do think I’m lazy, people think I’m very energetic, but I really think I do get tired quickly…so Hamzeh you’re not the only one in this.

Well, I wake up at 6:30, put my cell phone’s alarm to snooze for 10 mins more, I get up and go to work, back from work at almost 6 PM (I sometimes take one hour off for driving lessons but most of times no breaks at all). I arrive home dead tired, sometimes sleep for an hour or two, wake up spend all the time online, forget to eat (I know it’s not something one does but anyway), stay until 3 AM (keep telling myself that tonight I’ll go to bed early), then off to bed.

Today I also went shopping after work. But you know what? during work days I rarely bother with hanging my clothes in the wardrobe, yea I know that doesn’t sound girl-like nor responsible but I’m too tired to stand up on my own feet.

Basically, I’m always sleepy, always can’t wait to go home so that I can sleep but once I reach home I don’t.

lol come on! I didn’t say I had A LOT of free time. You’re making it look bad LOL! Anyway, you have a serious problem my friend. Going to bed at 3 am and waking up at 6 is not good at all. You need to be in your bed by midnight, that’s it! And 5 hours of browsing the internet ya zalmeh? Don’t you think that’s too much?

This really revolves around a very common question, “is something a waste of time?”. I know you spend a lot of time reading, but how much of that ready do you really need? How much of that internet browsing do you really need? I could say I watch the show Lost every Wednesday night and that takes about an hour from my time, and I wouldn’t consider it a waste of time, and most others will say that yeah since you really like it and you wanna watch it, then do it, make time for it and do it. But what if I’m just sitting on my couch flipping channels, I don’t know what’s on, I’m about to find out. Aren’t I wasting time then?

Then, there’s the problem of resting. Everybody needs rest; it’s even recommended by doctors. But again, how much resting do you really need? It depends on your tolerance. And different people have different levels of tolerance.

So there are all these variables, but is everyone aware of their own variables and to what values they are currently set? I’m not sure. And how does one go about changing them? And why would they want to do that?

Anyway, I’ve managed to not hit the snooze button every day of the week so far this week. Two days gone, three to go. We’ll see :p

My heart goes out to you … From the looks of it, I conclude: This is a sign of depression!

Hamzeh, I just wasted 2 precious minutes reading your thread! :p

Okay now! Seriously. Think about it, it’ll only take a few seconds. Can you walk and chew gum at the same time? If your answer is yes, then you actually can do several things while watching TV and still give those several things your full undivided - equal attention. Things I do while watching TV:

    1) cook
    2)eat
    3) do my nails
    3) fold laundry
    4) sit ups
    5) push ups
    6)sleep

    :p
