Interview with Watan FM About Blogging

20Jun07

Yesterday I was interviewed on Watan (Arabic for home country) FM’s Shabab (Arabic for youth). Watan is a new Jordanian radio station that started broadcasting in October, 2006; Watan FM broadcasts both political news and entertainment in Arabic.

The subject of the interview was blogging, the interesting phenomena which started in the Arab World only a couple of years ago. To listen to the interview, please download the audio file here. Sorry it’s huge. Also was interviewed about blogging, Maktoob’s Production Manager Mr. Khaled Salah.

Tareq Hamdan, the show’s presenter is one of the nicest and most intelligent young people I had the honor to meet.

Watan FM broadcasts on 100.3 in Amman and 92.7 in Irbid.

Yeah I heard it while driving, and to be honest I was thrilled to hear about it, I mean now bloggers and blogging is something to discuss over the radio, and that’s big!

But I was a bit disappointed because they didn’t talk about my blog :P

I tried downloading the file but couldn’t, try reducing the size of the file. The maktoob link is also not working.
