Jordanians and Facebook

20Mar07

So it seemed like Jordanians woke up one day and decided to group sign-up for Facebook accounts. It’s funny how almost everyone from JB signed up for an account on the same exact day.

Between the tens of unique visitors to this blog and me, I didn’t think I’ll ever like such a thing but I actually did. I hated Hi5 and expected Facebook to be yet another way to waste time and make cheesy comments on people’s pictures (usually people from the opposite sex)

But so far (and thank God by the way) Jordanians are utilizing the very much appreciated features that limit viewing their photos to friends only and enable them to create limited profiles for the less fortunate ones who didn’t make it to their precious list of friends.

Now we only need to learn how to reject addition requests from total strangers and people we’ve been trying to get rid of them on MSN/ Yahoo or our blog without feeling rude about it.

I don’t really like the idea of the facebook or Hi-5, I didn’t have an account on any and I won’t.. Although I noticed that a lot of people are enjoying it! But its not my style.

facebook is nice, and private I do appreciate that really thought it has some back-doors but still more private than many other

still stalkers hit on girls and add them like randomly but we are still in Jordan!

Waleed, I personally won’t be surprised if facebook stalkers come from Jordan as well. Can’t really say “we are still in Jordan”, wish I could though.
